Learn Thrifty Sheet

Everything you need to go from a blank sheet to knowing exactly where your groceries are cheapest. It takes about five minutes to get going.

Quick start

  1. 1

Set up your stores and brands

On the Stores and Brands tabs, list the supermarkets you visit and the brands you buy. These feed the dropdowns on the main sheet.

  2. 2

    Add your products

On the Products tab, add the items you want to track — bread, milk, coffee, whatever you buy regularly.

  3. 3

Record prices as you spot them

On the Items tab, add a row each time you notice a price: product, store, size, unit and price. The price-per-unit fills in automatically.

  4. 4

    Read the Summary

The Summary tab updates itself, showing the cheapest store for every product and how much you save by buying there.
